Getting Paint Protection Film is just the first step—how you care for it matters just as much. On Day 11, we’re revealing three common mistakes we often see car owners make after applying PPF—and how to avoid them like a pro.

1. Washing Too Soon

Wait at least 7 days before your first wash.
Washing too early can lift the edges or weaken the bond. The adhesive needs time to fully cure.

Best for: Ensuring a strong, lasting PPF installation.

2. Using Harsh Chemicals

Avoid strong degreasers, tar removers, or acidic cleaners.

These can discolor or weaken the film over time. Always use pH-neutral shampoos and gentle detailing products.

Best for: Maintaining the clarity and performance of your PPF.

3. Ignoring Edge Lifting

If you see a lifted corner or bubble, don’t wait.
Tiny edges can turn into full peels if left untreated. A quick fix early on saves the whole panel.

Best for: Preventing bigger issues from small ones.
