Wondering if your PPF is doing its job?

You invested in Paint Protection Film to shield your car, but how can you tell it's really working? On Day 10, we’ll show you three simple ways to check the quality and performance of your PPF—no tools or workshops needed.

1. Scratch Resistance Test (Gently!)

Try a soft fingernail swipe on a dusty surface.
If it leaves no mark or the mark disappears in a few minutes (thanks to self-healing), your PPF is doing its job!

Best for: Verifying if your PPF has self-healing properties.

2. Watch Water Behavior

After washing your car, observe the water beads.
If droplets form tight, round beads and roll off easily, your PPF is hydrophobic—meaning dirt and water won’t stick.

Best for: Knowing if your car will stay cleaner for longer.

3. Check Paint Clarity Under Sunlight

Step into direct sunlight and look at your paint’s depth.
A high-quality PPF should be nearly invisible, with no yellowing or dullness. If it looks foggy or tinted, your PPF may be aging or low-grade.

Best for: Spotting film quality issues early.

Welcome back to Day 04 of our PPF tips series! 1. Don’t Wash the Car for At Least 5–7 Days PPF needs time to fully bond and cure. Washing it too soon—even with just water—can weaken the edges or cause lifting and bubbling. Best for: Protecting a fresh install Ensuring long-term adhesion Avoiding edge failure 2.
