Avoid These Mistakes That Can Ruin Your Paint Protection Film

1. Washing Too Soon After Installation

PPF needs curing time. Washing your car within the first 5–7 days can weaken the adhesive, cause lifting at the edges, or even bubble the film.

Anyone who just got PPF installed and wants to avoid early damage.

2. Using a Heat Gun or Pressure Washer Incorrectly

Trying to “fix” a bubble or dirt spot with heat or high pressure? That can stretch, warp, or tear the film if you’re not trained.

Best for:

3. Using Harsh Chemicals or Abrasives

Avoid anything with ammonia, strong degreasers, or abrasive scrubbing pads—they can degrade the top coat and scratch the film.
