Day 06 – Daily Habits That Make or Break Your PPF

Your Paint Protection Film works hard—shielding your car from heat, sand, and scratches. But even the toughest film needs support from your day-to-day habits. Today’s tips focus on simple routines that make a big difference in how long your PPF lasts and how good it looks over time.

1. Inspect Film Edges Monthly

The edges are where lifting usually begins—especially on bumpers, side mirrors, and door handles.

Best for:

  • Owners of high-mileage vehicles

  • People using pressure washers or drying towels often

Take a few minutes monthly to check the edges. If you notice any lifting or dirt trapped underneath, visit your nearest CARPI branch for quick attention before it spreads.

2. Avoid DIY Polishing Machines

Most consumer-grade buffers aren’t PPF-safe and can cause burns or swirl marks.

Best for:

  • Car lovers doing their own detailing

  • Anyone using automated or rotary polishers

Stick to hand polishing with microfiber cloths and approved PPF-safe products—or leave the polishing to certified professionals like us at CARPI.

3. Don’t Apply Stickers or Tapes on Top of PPF

It’s tempting to slap on a parking permit or badge, but adhesives can damage the film when removed.
