Welcome back to Day 03 of our PPF tips series! 

1. Wash with the Right Products
Avoid strong detergents and go for pH-neutral car shampoos instead. Harsh chemicals can dull the finish of your PPF or cause edge lifting over time.

Best for:

  • Weekly car washes

  • Preserving clarity and finish

  • Preventing long-term damage

2. Skip the Automatic Car Wash
Most automatic car washes use stiff brushes and harsh cycles that can scratch or peel the PPF edges. Stick to hand washing or touchless systems.

Best for:

  • Long-term protection

  • Keeping edges secure

  • Avoiding swirl marks and scratches

3. Park in Shade When Possible
Even though PPF is UV-resistant, constant sun exposure can still wear it faster. Whenever you can, park in a shaded or covered spot to extend its life.

Best for:

  • Preventing discoloration

  • Keeping your car cooler

  • Protecting the film’s surface gloss

Welcome back to Day 04 of our PPF tips series! 1. Don’t Wash the Car for At Least 5–7 Days PPF needs time to fully bond and cure. Washing it too soon—even with just water—can weaken the edges or cause lifting and bubbling. Best for: Protecting a fresh install Ensuring long-term adhesion Avoiding edge failure 2.
